Restoring Love

A few pics from Glen Beck’s Restoring Love gathering last night at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX.

- Anastatic copy of the declaration of Independence. Only one of two known copies. If you have ever seen the original, you will note that it is faded almost beyond recognition while many other, less well-kept documents from the same time are still clear.. It is believed the solution used to produce these copies caused this accelerated deterioration.

- Friberg’s Prayer at Valley Forge. Not a litho. The actual painting. I had to be dragged away from this one.

- Lincoln’s desk from his time in Congress.

- Pat and Stu from the Glenn Beck radio show.

- The place was packed and I was only 12 rows from the stage.

- Glenn holding a Bible printed by Congress shortly after the Revolution. It is one of only eight surviving complete copies. I almost had a heart attack when he waved it around in one hand.

- A letter from Ronald Reagan to his daughter Patty Davis, begging her to visit him before Alzheimer’s took him away forever. Davis sold the letter and never saw her father again….
The theme of Restoring Love is charity. Charity is too important to our souls and selves to hand off to government. It is not enough to say, “I gave at the ballot box or the tax office.” It is OUR job, and we have shirked it too long.

That was not the original “Prayer at Valley Forge” at the Restoring Love gathering at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. The original was only on display in Utah during the Man on the Moon event! Sorry that was a limited edition! The original is much larger!

And in March they have the “Summer Bonus”, And in December they have the “Christmas Reward” and so on. Don’t make the error of taking part in too many fingers. Poker can be played for enjoyable as well as for betting.
